Community Planting for Our Climate
We aim to help create a fully sustainable Aotearoa New Zealand, and to tackle climate change by planting native ecosystems in perpetuity in every community in the nation.
Rotary NZ has a history of environmental projects.
"For example, the Rotary Club of Pakuranga established Trees for Survival over 25 years ago to encourage school children to enjoy the rewards of growing and planting native trees and shrubs. Almost 100,000 shrubs and trees are being grown in plant growing units in schools and being planted out each year. Last year 4079 students were involved.
The opportunities that our partnerships will give us to magnify our mutual work will make our country a better place and we thank you for joining with us.
